Custom work terms

These apply on top of our general terms where your order includes a website build or other custom work. Everything not covered here is in the general terms.

Version 1.0, 2 October 2026

All versions: 1.0 (2 October 2026)

Quotes

We quote every build and every piece of custom work before we start. A quote gives a fixed price for each item, with the hours shown.

You accept a quote by signing the order it belongs to.

Deposit and second payment

You pay half the price up front and half on completion.

We start work when your first payment clears.

Your deposit is refunded in full if you cancel before we start. Once we have started, it is not refunded.

The second half of the price is due once the build is accepted.

Changes to scope

If a job turns out bigger than we quoted, we stop and tell you before doing the extra work. You decide whether we go ahead, and we quote the extra work first.

Anything you ask for that is not in the quote is quoted separately before we do it.

Acceptance

A build is accepted when you confirm in writing that you accept it, or 14 days after it goes live if you have not reported a fault by then, whichever comes first.

Email counts as writing.

Who owns what we build

Once you have paid for it in full, what we built for you belongs to you.

General-purpose code we wrote before your job, or outside it, stays ours, and we may reuse it. You may use it as part of your site.

If any of this is unclear, or you want something explained before you agree to it, email us and we will answer plainly. You can also go back to what Lagden Ltd actually does.
