Community organisations and clubs
Websites for community organisations and clubs.
A good club website gets new people through the door. It shows what's coming up, how to join and who to ask. We build community websites that do all three on a phone, and that don't fall apart when your volunteers change.

Where websites lose customers.
Common problems, and what we do about each.
Last year's events look like this year's
An undated event or an old notice on the homepage leaves newcomers unsure what's actually happening. Some turn up on the wrong night, and some don't turn up at all.
What we do
We give every event a clear date and keep upcoming events apart from past ones, so people can see at a glance what's next.
Joining is a treasure hunt
Membership costs on one page, the venue on another, and who to contact buried in a Facebook post. Every extra click loses you a new member.
What we do
We put everything a newcomer needs on one page: what you do, when and where, what it costs, access details and who to contact. If you already use a membership or ticket service, we link straight to it.
Only one person knows how to update it
When the one volunteer who understands the website moves on, the site stops being updated, and an out-of-date site makes the group look inactive.
What we do
With care, anyone on your committee can email us a change and it's done. No logins to hand over and no software to learn.

Questions
Before you decide.
- Can volunteers edit the website themselves?
- If that matters to you, we can build in a simple way to edit it and quote first. Many groups find it easier to email us the change and let us handle it.
- Can the site take memberships, donations or ticket payments?
- Yes. We link straight to the service you already use, and if you don't have one, we'll help you pick one. A payment system built into the site is its own project, and we quote first.
- Can you make the site more accessible?
- Yes. We build every site to work with a keyboard and a screen reader, with readable text and clear contact routes. Tell us about your venue's access, and we'll put it where people can find it.
- Do we need to pay every month?
- No. Essential's hosting is free and stays free. Care is there if you'd rather hand the upkeep over.
